Cairo Arab League chief Ahmed Abul-Gheit urged help for the U.N. chief saying Israel’s assault on Guterres “is an apparent try to terrorize” and that it was “ethical and political blackmail.”
He added it was “a shameful assault that goals to silence each voice that speaks the reality,” based on an announcement by the Arab League.
Guterres on Tuesday criticized Israel’s relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip and spoke of “clear violations of worldwide humanitarian regulation” and “collective punishment.”
