Muslim associations in Austria criticized analysis carried out amongst Muslim college students by the College of Vienna over alleged racism.
The research, entitled “Results of Islamic Non secular Training in Austria” surveyed 2,000 Muslim college students, however Muslim Youth Austria (MJO) is very essential of its “racist nature,” claiming that the research has a tendentious construction that appears to have pre-fabricated outcomes.
The younger individuals concerned would report a “feeling of unease and incomprehension” about the truth that solely Muslim college students had to participate within the survey, a press release from the MJO informed the Austrian information company APA.
The MJO mentioned that the younger individuals have been faraway from common courses and subjected to exterior supervision, together with having to reply questions similar to “It is disgusting when homosexuals kiss,” and to determine who would go to hell.
“The sight of disabled individuals bothers me” is one other assertion to be evaluated. One other one is “When girls put on miniskirts or revealing clothes in public, they sign sexual will.”
The research is led by Austrian-Turkish professor of Islamic spiritual training Ednan Aslan. The professor had already been sharply criticized for the so-called “Islam map” and a controversial kindergarten research in Austria.
The MJO, along with the Austrian NGOs Initiative Discrimination-Free Training (IDB), and ZARA (Civil Braveness and Work Towards Racism) demanded an instantaneous termination of the research.
As well as, the organizations sought clarifications from the rector of the College of Vienna, Sebastian Schutze; and the Austrian Minister of Training, Martin Polaschek.
