Almost 1.5 kilograms (3.31 kilos) of sticky darkish brown Opium gum was seized from a field of Turkish enjoyment of an operation carried out at Istanbul Airport by the Ministry of Commerce Customs Enforcement groups on Tuesday.
Following the chance evaluation performed by the NARKOKIM groups of the Istanbul Airport Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate, the cargo, which was topic to be despatched overseas from Türkiye within the cargo part of Istanbul Airport, was investigated.
The parcel detected by sniffer canines was then taken for an in depth search, and it was decided that 1.5 kilograms of opium gum was hidden contained in the Turkish delight field, whose whole weight was 3.5 kilograms.
Customs enforcement groups seized the drug and initiated judicial proceedings in opposition to the sender and receiver.
